A tough back nine on Friday was just a foreshadowing of worse events to come for Adam Scott.
The Aussie played his first five holes of the third round in the Australian Masters at even par, but then it all went south. Scott made back-to-back bogeys on par 5s and saw two more pairs of bogeys on his way to a disastrous 6-over 77.
Scott dropped from a share of the lead at 8 under all the way to T-11 at 2 under and five back. After playing his first 27 holes in 11 under, the 35-year-old has put together a 9-over score in his subsequent 27 at Huntingdale Golf Club.
