It appears the iconic 1996 film Happy Gilmore may be getting a sequel.
Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the sports comedy, revealed during an appearance on Audacy's 92.3 The Fan on Friday that Adam Sandler, who played Happy Gilmore, recently showed him a draft of the script for Happy Gilmore 2.
McDonald said, per Caitlyn Holroyd of theScore:
"I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, 'McDonald, you're gonna love this.' I said, 'What?' He says, 'How 'bout that,' (and) he shows me the first draft of 'Happy Gilmore 2.
