Alison Lee made the most of her U.S. Women’s Open sectional qualifying chance Tuesday.
Lee shot 71-73 for a 2-over 144 total at Goose Creek Golf Club in Mira Loma, Calif., to earn a spot in the U.S. Women’s Open. Lee claimed one of two spots available in the sectional qualifier, winning co-medalist honors with amateur Lilia Khatu Vu.
Lee was originally scheduled to play a sectional qualifier in Virginia on Monday, but she missed her tee time after the suspended final round of the LPGA’s Kingsmill Championship was pushed to a Monday morning finish.
