THIS COMING MONDAY (JUNE 6) is the big day for those with hopes of qualifying for the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club in two weeks. Hundreds of players will tee off in 36-hole qualifiers at 10 sites around the United States.
Following is a partial list of players in the sectional qualifier in Powell, Ohio, where a lot of the tour pros go in search of a spot in the U.S. Open field. It's always amazing to me to see the pedigree -- names that have been on top and played in so many U.S. Opens and major championships.
