The LPGA and Rich Harvest Farms have mutually agreed to relocate the 2016 UL International Crown, according to a statement released Wednesday by the tour. Both parties, however, remain open to future LPGA opportunities.
Rich Harvest Farms, owned by businessman Jerry Rich, hosted the 2009 Solheim Cup and two significant men’s amateur events in 2015: Western Am and Palmer Cup. The private course, located 50 miles west of downtown Chicago, will host the 2017 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s championships.
The LPGA plans to keep the second staging of the International Crown, a biennial event involving eight four-woman teams, in the Chicago area but offered no further details.
