Sixteen-year-old amateur golfer Kris Kim became the youngest person to make a PGA Tour cut in 11 years when he qualified for the weekend at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson after shooting seven under through two rounds, per ESPN News Services.
Kim, at 16 years, seven months and three days, is the youngest PGA Tour cut qualifier since 14-year-old Guan Tianlang made the cut at the 2013 Masters.
This wasn't an easy cut to make, with the line at six under or better to move on. Kim's been sensational over two days, though, shooting a three-under 68 on Thursday before carding a four-under 67 on Friday.
