-5 cut lowest in LPGA history; Yost, Inkster survive

PHOENIX – How low did they go Friday at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup?

The cut was set at a record 5 under par.

That’s the lowest cut in LPGA history, surpassing the 4-under mark set two years ago at the Manulife LPGA Classic.

A year ago, Sei Young Kim won the Founders Cup with a 27-under-par total, equaling Annika Sorenstam’s 72-hole record.

Stacy Lewis and Ariya Jutanugarn are almost halfway there this year. They share the lead at 13 under going into the weekend.

Count Kaylin Yost among the 74 players who made the cut Friday.
