The Golden State Warriors have been red hot in the new year, going 6-1 since the calendar flipped to 2018. Stephen Curry is still dealing with some ankle issues after slipping in practice on Friday, but his absence hasn't slowed Golden State down at all. Here's an update on everything you may have missed and everything you need to know inside our Warriors Weekly update:
Last Week:
Golden State started the week with a two-game homestand against the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers, splitting the two contests. Curry dropped 32 points with nine assists to help the Warriors overcome Nikola Jokic's first triple-double of the season in a 124-114 win over the Nuggets, but fell 125-106 to the Clippers thanks to Lou Williams going off for 50 points for LA.
After that, Golden State hit the road for back-to-back games against the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors on Friday and Saturday. Kevin Durant (26 points) and Draymond Green (21 points) stepped up to help the Warriors get a convincing 108-94 win over Milwaukee before Curry returned the following night in Toronto. He scored 24 points, but Golden State nearly blew a 27-point lead and had to hold off a furious rally from the Raptors to a 127-125 win.
