Warriors Weekly: Golden State Flexing Muscle On Current Win Streak

The Golden State Warriors dropped two games early in the season, but have come together faster than almost anyone expected. That quick unity and chemistry has been the catalyst for their current eight-game winning streak, pushing their record to 12-2. More on that streak and more inside our Warriors Weekly update:

Last Week:
Golden State spend the last week on a four-game road trip, but that didn't stop them from winning. It started with a big 127-121 win over the Raptors in Toronto on "Drake Night," and the Warriors had some fun with that:

The Warriors then flew to Boston for a showdown with the Celtics on Friday night, but it turned into a blowout. Golden State outscored Boston 31-9 in the third quarter, crusing to an easy 104-88 win. The game also helped Klay Thompson break out of his slump, as he scored a game-high 28 points.

A back-to-back against the Milwaukee Bucks followed on Saturday, and while they got off to a slow start - as expected - they pulled away in the third quarter before holding on for the 124-121 win. The road trip then closed in Indiana on Monday, and the Warriors made sure to close it in a big way. Golden State led by double-digits in the first quarter and built a 19-point halftime lead, setting the tone for a 120-83 win over the Pacers - their most lopsided victory of the season.

What's Up Next:
The Warriors will play their next seven games in the state of California before embarking on another long road trip. They return home on Wednesday to face the Lakers, then will travel to Los Angeles on Friday for a rematch. Luckily, that is a quick getaway for them, as Golden State will return to Oakland for games against the Timberwolves on Saturday and the Hawks on Monday.

Injuries:
Rookie center Damian Jones is expected to be out until at least Dec. 10 with a pectoral injury he suffered while lifting weights before the draft. The Warriors are sending him to the D-League as the final step in his rehab before bringing him to the team for his NBA debut.
