The Golden State Warriors will have the services of forward Draymond Green and guard Klay Thompson tonight against the Toronto Raptors. Green missed Monday's practice with the flu, while Thompson sat out Sunday's 107-99 victory against the Brooklyn Nets.
Thompson Update
Thompson sat out one game as a precaution with back stiffness. Thompson said he couldn't get any lift on his jumpers during Golden State's 129-116 win over the Timberwolves last Thursday and needed a few days off. Thompson's back felt great during the shoot around.
"I hope I don't jinx myself," Thompson said.
He's averaging 15.2 points per game, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 38.6 from beyond the arc. Those numbers are down from last season, when he averaged 21.7 points per game, shot 46.3 percent from the field and hit 43.9 percent of his threes.
Green Updated
Green said he still feels sick and congested, but will play tonight.
"Feel ok," Green said. "A little weak [and] last week [had a] sinus infection. Then after last game felt exhausted"
Green is off to a great start this season, averaging 12.3 points per game, 7.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists. The seven-plus assists per game is a big jump for Green, who averaged less than four last season. He leads the Warriors in assists.
"When Steph gets double teamed, I become the primary playmaker," Green said.
Throwback "The City" Jerseys
The Warriors host the Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. PT tonight and the team will be wearing alternate jerseys dubbed "The City." The Warriors will also have an alternate court tonight. Green said he was excited to wear the new-look uniforms.
"That's really why I'm playing tonight," Green joked.
