The Golden State Warriors continue to make history.
The Warriors started fast and cruised to a 129-115 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4, finishing off the sweep to advance to the NBA Finals for the third consecutive season.
They also became the first team in NBA history to enter the Finals with a 12-0 postseason record. The Los Angeles Lakers had two teams (1989, 2001) go into the Finals with 11-0 records (first round series used to be best-of-5 instead of best-of-7), but neither team won Game 1 of the Finals. That makes Golden State's win streak the longest to start a single postseason in league history.
Stephen Curry (36 points, six assists) and Kevin Durant (29 points, 12 rebounds) led the way for the Warriors, and set the tone early in the game as they combined for 21 points in the first quarter.

Golden State was essentially able to put it on cruise control from that point on. The Spurs did cut the deficit to seven in the second quarter and 10 in the third, but the Warriors had an answer each time, particularly from behind the three-point line.

The Warriors finished with 14 made threes on 36.8 percent shooting from downtown.
However, they were largely able to keep San Antonio at bay thanks to a stout defensive effort. They held the Spurs to just 41.7 percent shooting - including 29.2 percent from three-point range. Durant and JaVale McGee led the way on that end of the floor with a pair of monster blocks.

Manu Ginobili, playing in perhaps the last game of his career, got the start and finished with 15 points for the Spurs. Kyle Anderson also added a team-high 20 points off the bench.
