Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson has not played since March 11 due to a broken thumb, and he was originally expected to miss an extended period of time, he told the Associated Press that he expects to be back before the end of the week.
Klay Thompson: "I'll be back soon. One or two more games." Credits the group playing: "Their defense was great tonight, just their effort. They play with great effort, and that's all we ask for."

Thompson has missed the seven games with the injury. A reliable player who has largely avoided injuries to this point in his career, Thompson has played in 530 of a possible 550 games.

Golden State is currently dealing with a rash of injuries. Stephen Curry is out through the first round of the playoffs with an MCL injury, while Draymond Green is dealing with a pelvic contusion and Kevin Durant dealing with fractured ribs. However, both Green and Durant are also expected to return this week.
"We can overcome this," Kerr told reporters over the weekend. "... We just got to be able to hold down the fort and understand that this is all part of the journey."
Thompson is averaging 19.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game this season.
