Both Curry and head coach Steve Kerr alluded to the fact that the reigning league MVP would play earlier this week, but nothing was made official until the team's shootaround Sunday morning.
Without Curry in Game 3, the Warriors lost to the Rockets on a last-second shot by James Harden, 97-96. The All-Star point guard also missed Game 2, a 115-106 Golden State win. Curry hurt his ankle in the second quarter of Game 1, returning briefly to start the second half before returning to the locker room.
The Warriors are up 2-1 in the series heading into Sunday's matchup in Houston. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.
