OAKLAND –The Warriors have reached a pivot point in the franchise’s future.
It may not equate to when they drafted Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson or Draymond Green. It may not compare to when they hired Steve Kerr to patrol the sidelines. It may not match acquiring Kevin Durant.
Still, the Warriors enter the NBA Draft on Thursday with significant implications. Given expected long-term injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson as well as limited spending power in free agency, the Warriors’ No. 28 and No. 58 picks may significantly shape the team’s roster next season.
