Why Jimmy Butler isn't with the Warriors for NBA All-Star weekend

While most of the Golden State Warriors are busy in and around the Bay Area for NBA All-Star weekend, the newest member of the team, Jimmy Butler, is on the other side of the planet.

Butler used his All-Star break to fly to Dubai, according to several Instagram story posts from Butler and his manager, Shanté Roberts Ward. Butler went out on Saturday night in Dubai, but posted that he was still up at 6:18 a.m. local time to watch new teammate Buddy Hield’s first round in the 3-point contest. While Hield made the final round, Butler’s former teammate, Tyler Herro of the Heat, won the competition.
