The Golden State Warriors will play without Shaun Livingston again tonight when they face the Phoenix Suns at 7:30 p.m. PST.
As Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reported, Livingston’s consecutive games off are not a stunt indicating how meaningless the NBA regular season is for the Warriors but an effort to rest a player when he’s less than 100% to preserve him for the long-term.
“We’re going to try to give Shaun a rest where we can,” Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said Sunday. “When he’s banged up, we’re not going to play him.
