OAKLAND — Steve Kerr and Manu Ginobili locked in an embrace Tuesday night shortly after the final horn sounded on the Warriors’s series against the San Antonio Spurs.
“Keep going, OK?” the Warriors coach said to the Spurs’ iconic guard.
Whereas the big question for the Warriors centers around Stephen Curry’s availability for the next series, the big question in San Antonio is whether Ginobili will play next season. Ginobili, 40, has been around so long that he and Kerr, 52, were once teammates. It was 2002, Ginobili’s second year in the league and Kerr’s last.
Tuesday night, Kerr shared a story with Ginobli about meeting Roger Federer, the 36-year-old tennis superstar.
