“What are they gonna say now?” -Stephen Curry
The 2021-2022 Golden State Warriors are NBA Champions once more. This is a statement that I never dared to dream about writing again, not after the devastating end to the 2019 NBA Finals, and certainly not after worst-in-the-NBA record in 2020 and the devastation of the play-in tournament in 2021. But behind a retooled roster that gambled on a combination of veteran skill and guile and an infusion of high-upside youth, these Warriors sprinted out of the gates to an 18-2 start. They weathered one of the worst shooting slumps of Stephen Curry’s career in the middle of the season.
