So many things ail the Golden State Warriors right now. In order of ascending importance:
- Point of attack defense. The Dubs are a woefully undersized team (more on that later), and so they have no rim protection once an opponent gets dribble penetration. And boy, are opponents finding it easy to get dribble penetration in recent days and weeks. The fourth quarter collapse against Denver, the fourth quarter collapse against Dallas, and the butt-kicking Minnesota inflicted on the Warriors all turned into layup lines, as seemingly whoever was handling the ball blew past their primary defender and broke the paint.
