The Golden State Warriors are taking the start of their training camp away from the Bay Area — and finding quite the place for it instead.
The team will begin training for the upcoming season in Hawaii, spokesperson Raymond Ridder confirmed to SFGATE on Monday. The Warriors will practice on the campus of Brigham Young University-Hawaii, located in Laie on the north side of Oahu, from Oct. 1 to 4.
The BYU-Hawaii campus is one that will be familiar to Steph Curry, as the superstar co-hosted a basketball camp with the Warriors there during the summer of 2016.
