Less than a week after losing veteran sharpshooter Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors have acquired a new talented three-point specialist in Buddy Hield.
The Warriors added Hield via a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal gives Hield two years guaranteed and $21 million—$18 million in the first two years and a $3 million partial guarantee in his third year. Hield will also have a player option on a non-guaranteed fourth year.
In return, Golden State sent the 76ers a 2031 second-round pick.
Before Hield's contract, the Warriors were $54.
