PHOENIX — The Warriors had 32 assists Friday night, and have recorded at least 30 assists in seven of their past eight games, pushing them to a league-leading total of nine such games for the season and closer to averaging 30 assists for the season (29.7).
The last team that averaged 30 assists per game during a full season was the Showtime Lakers, and the Warriors’ penchant for ball movement and unselfish passing is starting to get league-wide notice.
It caught the attention of Jeff Hornacek as the Phoenix head coach prepped to face the Warriors.
