The Warriors’ local telecasts this season have registered significant ratings increases, accoring to numbers released Thursday by Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.The station averaged a 3.77 household rating, equivalent to about 93,340 households in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose — a 16 percent increase over last season.
The network also posted its highest-rated regular season Warriors game rating for the Dec. 10 matchup with Houston. That game delivered a 6.43 rating (approximately 159,200 households) and peaked at 7.37 (approximately 182,470 households). The highest-rated game ever on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area was May 1, 2014, when the Warriors played the Clippers in Game 6 of the teams’ best-of-seven, first-round playoff series.
