NEW YORK — The Golden State Warriors have agreed to trade point guard D’Angelo Russell to the Minnesota Timberwolves for wing Andrew Wiggins, a protected first-round pick in 2021 and a 2022 second-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Minnesota’s 2021 pick is protected for a top-three selection, but becomes unprotected in 2022. The Warriors will also send guard Jacob Evans and forward Omari Spellman to the Timberwolves, per ESPN.
