Warriors Tie Record for Best Start with Win in Denver

The Golden State Warriors tied a record for best start in NBA history with a 118-105 win over the Denver Nuggets on the road on Saturday night.

Now 15-0, the Warriors matched the record set by the 1993-1994 Rockets and the 1948-1949 Washington Capitals.

The Warriors pulled away in the third quarter, double their lead from six to 12 by the quarter’s end. A basket and a foul by Harrison Barnes put the Warriors up double-digits at 79-69. After being held scoreless of the next three minutes, Barnes put down an impressive dunk, and then Stephen Curry drilled a triple to give the Warriors their biggest lead to that point at 13 points.
