OAKLAND — Forward Kevin Durant remains day-to-day with a right ankle contusion and his status for Wednesday’s game against the Houston Rockets is unknown, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Monday.
Durant suffered the injury Sunday night in the Warriors’ 115-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns, landing awkwardly on his foot as he attempted to throw the ball through a double team.
Durant stayed on the floor, but eventually stood up on his own and walked to the locker room without needing any assistance. The injury occurred with 6:34 left in the fourth quarter.
Durant, who had 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting, also felt pain in his right ankle after landing awkwardly during last week’s win in Philadelphia.
