OAKLAND — For all the offensive firepower that the Warriors employ to demoralize their opponents, Warriors coach Steve Kerr always cited something more significant to the team’s success.
It might not fill the highlight shows with the same excitement as when Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson launch 3-pointers from any distance. Instead, it involved the less glamorous work involving defending their opponent, staying disciplined on rotations and playing with an edge.
With the Warriors (8-3) entering Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves (7-3) at the Oracle on a four-game winning streak, Kerr pinpointed the team’s defense as the biggest factor.
