Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr made a tongue-in-cheek reference to President-elect Donald Trump ahead of his team's matchup against the Celtics on Wednesday.
Kerr is perhaps the most politically outspoken coach in the NBA, so, after peppering him with Jayson Tatum-related questions, reporters asked him about his thoughts about the election. The Associated Press called the presidential election in favor of Donald Trump in the early morning hours Wednesday.
“I believe in democracy,” Kerr said, per the Athletic’s Anthony Slater. “I think the American people have spoken and voted for Trump.
