OAKLAND — The image caused Warriors coach Steve Kerr to laugh for two different reasons.
As he entered Oracle Arena at the top of the ramp prior to Tuesday’s season-opener, Kerr found it “hilarious” when he spotted a Warriors fan dressed up as Klay Thompson. At some point during the Warriors’ eventual loss to Houston, Kerr turned around and saw the same fan sitting closely behind the bench. Kerr jokingly wondered if the real Thompson had eaten some burgers on Monday night.
“That was great,” Kerr said after practice on Wednesday. “I loved that guy.”
Kerr did not love, however, what he found to be a major factor in the Warriors’ loss to the Rockets.
