Stephen Curry summoned his teammates into a huddle and told them to be patient after a practice last week.
The Warriors’ point guard even quoted famed UCLA coach John Wooden, saying: “Be quick, but don’t hurry.”
In his rare oration, Curry was essentially telling teammates his gameplan for accomplishing the improbable. He was explaining how he plans to improve on his 2014-15 campaign — one that netted him the league’s MVP award and the franchise its first championship in 40 years.
“That’s always the motivation: Every single year, I try to find things I can do better,” Curry said.
