It sure seems that Steph Curry seems to believe that “it’s gotta be the shoes,” as Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon famously told Michael Jordan in 1989. The modern day edition features the Golden State Warriors star switching to a pair of supposedly lucky sneakers after halftime, even with his team holding a double-digit lead heading into the third quarter.
Curry wore a white and red pair of sneakers to start Game 5 of the NBA Finals, and did not start out too great. He shot a disappointing 0-of-4 from beyond the arc during the first two quarters.
