HOUSTON — Through defensive lapses, silly turnovers and missed shots, the Warriors usually have relied on a dynamic duo to make everything okay.
They are considered the best shooting backcourt in NBA history. They are often referenced as the “Splash Brothers.” And they are otherwise known as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
For one night, though, the Warriors’ identity completely changed. The Warriors dropped a 116-108 loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Curry and Thompson suddenly could not drain shots as they do in almost every other game.
Curry scored only 19 points while shooting only 6-of-20 from the field and 5-of-15 from 3-point range, while committing six turnovers.
