SAN FRANCISCO — Only seven years separate the ages of Omari Spellman and Draymond Green. They belong to the same generation. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a little bit of a generational divide.
“He asked me to go to a Janet Jackson concert,” Spellman said. “I was like, ‘Nah man, I’m going to stay at home and chill. It wasn’t nothing against Draymond. That’s not really my era.’”
When prompted, Spellman couldn’t cite a single Jackson song. He did, however, note that Jackson was “the truth.” When it comes to defense, that same label can be used on Green, and Spellman expressed eagerness to take a peek inside Green’s mind.
