OAKLAND – The Warriors have signed Alfonzo McKinnie to a two-year league minimum deal, filling the team’s 14th roster spot, sources confirmed to the Bay Area News Group.
The Athletic was the first to break the news of McKinnie’s signing.
McKinnie, who was signed to an Exhibit 10 deal prior to training camp, split last season with the Toronto Raptors and their G-League affiliate.
McKinnie’s signing puts the future of restricted free agent Patrick McCaw’s tenure in flux. Earlier this month, McCaw turned down a two-year, $5.2 million contract with the team. Despite McCaw’s decision, Warriors GM Bob Myers told the Bay Area News Group that the team is still open to signing the guard in the future.
