Warriors sign four players ahead of training camp

The Warriors have officially signed free agents JaVale McGee, Phil Pressey, Elgin Cook and Cameron Jones, a team spokesman confirmed Wednesday to The Chronicle.

NBA teams can carry 20-man rosters until trimming them down to 15 the day before the start of the regular season. The Warriors, who open training camp Sept. 27, now have 19 players.

Fourteen of those are on fully guaranteed contracts for the 2016-17 season. McGee, Pressey, Cook and Jones, as well as the previously signed Elliot Williams, will compete for the 15th and final roster spot.
