One of Shaun Livingston’s biggest strengths is a keen awareness of his limitations. A throw-back point guard, he bypasses open three-pointers to hoist mid-range jumpers and post up smaller defenders.
But even that blueprint, which is why he is on pace to finish his third-straight season shooting at least 50 percent from the field, doesn’t make Livingston immune from the occasional slump. Before going 3-for-4 for six points in the Warriors’ win Tuesday over Dallas, Livingston was averaging just 1.8 points on 18.8 percent shooting in 17.4 minutes over his previous nine games.
“You go through slumps,” Livingston said after practice Thursday.
