The Golden State Warriors selected Brandin Podziemski with the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft on Thursday.
The 20-year-old guard spent last season with the Santa Clara Broncos after spending his freshman year with Illinois and transferring over. He averaged 19.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game his sophomore year while shooting 43.8% from 3 and 48.3% from the field. Podziemski is the third player from Santa Clara to get drafted into the NBA after Steve Nash and Jalen Williams.
