Warriors say Damian Jones injured against Pistons, to meet with specialist

An MRI taken on Warriors center Damian Jones after Saturday night’s loss in Detroit revealed a torn pectoral muscle in his left shoulder and he will be seeing a specialist, the team announced Sunday.

Jones left the game with 5.7 seconds left in the third quarter. The team said his long-term status will be updated after Jones’ meeting with the specialist.

The 7-foot Jones, in his third NBA season is averaging 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game.
