MINNEAPOLIS — Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell (right shoulder bruise) and center Willie Cauley-Stein (flu-like symptoms) have been ruled out of Thursday night’s game against the Timberwolves.
This will be the second straight game Russell has missed after bruising his shoulder in a collision with Luka Doncic in Saturday’s loss to the Mavericks. After starting 30 straight games, Cauley-Stein did not travel for the team’s two-city trip that started in San Antonio on Tuesday.
“We felt like it was best to keep him at home and make sure he recovers from his illness, rather than fly him across the country and risk any issues there,” head coach Steve Kerr said.
