Kevon Looney is scheduled to have a follow-up appointment with his surgeon, Dr. Marc Philippon, on Wednesday, and the rookie forward seems poised to get some good news on his hip.
The 6-foot-9 19-year-old had right hip arthroscopy to repair a torn labrum Aug. 20, and it was expected to be a minimum of four to six months before he returned to basketball activities. Looney is already taking flat-footed shots and dribbling while sitting in a chair.
“I’m feeling better,” the No. 30 overall pick from the 2015 draft said after Sunday’s practice. “The process is slow, but I’m feeling good.
