Though the Warriors clearly need to improve to get past the Nuggets in the West, they’re somewhat boxed in by their expensive and aging core. (They also would seem boxed in by their lack of a GM, but that’s a separate issue.) Whatever they do, though, needs to be aimed at going all-in on the last great years of Steph Curry; any long-term planning needs to be out the window. That makes a trade rumor that bubbled up from ESPN on Wednesday all the more baffling.
Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo’s mock draft has the Warriors taking Michigan’s Jett Howard at No.
