The Warriors reached an agreement on a lease extension with the Joint Powers Authority to play at least the next two seasons at Oracle Arena, it was announced Wednesday.
As part of the agreement, the Warriors have options they can exercise to play up to an additional three seasons in Oakland, three seasons in Oakland, if they need more time before moving to Chase Center in San Francisco. In addition, the Warriors will pay a rent increase, although financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Warriors plan to begin playing in the $1 billion Chase Center at the start of the 2019-20 season.
