While on the road in Memphis on Monday evening, the Dubs were treated to a private screening of the profound film Just Mercy, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan.
The film, based on a true story, recounts the actions of social justice activist and attorney Bryan Stevenson as he fought to free Walter McMillian, a wrongfully convicted man. Over the last four decades, Stevenson has dedicated his career to fighting for the racial, social and political rights of those marginalized by the criminal justice system.
A handful of Warriors players and coaching staff attended the special screening, with Marquese Chriss sharing his thoughts on the film:
