OAKLAND — Warriors coach Steve Kerr says reserve guard Quinn Cook has one of the most challenging assignments on the team.
Of course, Kerr had basically that same role during his playing days with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
The job: Be ready, even if it involves long stretches sitting on the bench.
Cook played a total of just five minutes over a six-game span earlier during the NBA playoffs. Then, when Kerr shook up his rotation after Kevin Durant’s injury in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against Houston, Cook got the call.
