Warriors put on show for San Jose fans in exhibition opener

SAN JOSE -- Hours before the preseason opener, Warriors fans were lined up outside SAP Center in anticipation of Stephen Curry bobbleheads and a glimpse of the defending NBA champions.

They got to see the Warriors pick up where they left off in a 95-87 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Even with coach Steve Kerr on a leave of absence, the offense was humming.Curry scored 14 points in 19 minutes, making three 3-pointers. The Warriors trailed 14-7 in the first quarter before Curry hit back-to-back shots from long distance.Then came the highlight of the game. Curry threw a behind-the-back pass in transition, and the ball was swung around the court until he got it back and made a wide-open 3-pointer to give the Warriors a 53-42 lead just before halftime.
