Warriors forward Kevin Durant says since he arrived in the Bay Area, he’s found that his team has a tendency to relax when they have a big lead.
During a postgame briefing, he said that’s what the Los Angeles Clippers are waiting for, and that was part of the reason his team lost momentum in the 129-121 Game 5 loss. He said the Warriors’ missteps opened the door for the Clippers because Los Angeles was playing loose.
Further on, Durant said he wasn’t looking ahead to a potential series with the Houston Rockets. His focus was on the current opponent and he detailed how the Clippers’ Lou Williams caught fire in Game 5.
