For as bad as Warriors guard Jordan Poole's 2023 postseason was, Lakers guard Austin Reaves' first playoffs has been just that good.
Los Angeles' second-year guard has gone from undrafted Oklahoma product to postseason starter on the surprise 7-seed Lakers — starting the playoffs with a heard-'round-the-NBA "I'm him" opener against the Memphis Grizzlies, and never really letting up from there. He's had enough of a meteoric rise (he's now rumored to be headed for a $50 million-plus contract this summer) that when coupled with Poole's meteoric fall, it has one longtime NBA guard wondering if the Dubs' $128 million man is even better than a minimum-contract guy who couldn't even decide his own nickname.
