Hours after announcing the Warriors’ intentions to play last Thursday’s game against the Nets in an empty arena, general manager Bob Myers got a text from owner Joe Lacob: “Do you see what’s going on with the Utah-Oklahoma City game?”
As he watched Jazz and Thunder players get ushered off the court and the PA announcer tell the crowd the game was canceled, Myers knew the NBA was on the brink of a shutdown.
