Warriors pick up defense in franchise-record 67th victory

Steve Kerr has been picking at his team’s lack of consistent execution on defense for weeks.

On Tuesday night, his players finally responded.

The Warriors put together their best defensive game since March 16, taking the life out of the Wizards for a 102-94 victory in front of a national TV audience Friday night at Oracle Arena.

The Warriors forced 17 turnovers, allowed Washington to shoot only 41.9 percent from the floor (21.7 percent from three-point range) and limited an opponent to fewer than 100 points for only the sixth time in the past 25 games.
