OAKLAND — The city is ready. For the second time in three years, confetti will rain down on the streets of downtown Oakland as hundreds of thousands — maybe a million or more — blue-and-gold-clad fans line the sidewalks in anticipation of the Golden State Warriors’ victory parade.
Unlike in 2015, when the team celebrated the end of a 40-year ring-less streak, Thursday’s event follows three years of appearing in the NBA Finals — all against the same opponent — and with the knowledge that the Dubs will soon be leaving the place it has called home since 1971.
